复旦大学先进材料实验室(科技创新平台)是教育部“985工程”二期重点建设项目之一,成立于2005年4月,现位于江湾新校区,建筑面积为2.5万平方米。先进材料实验室围绕国家中长期科技发展规划,通过材料、化学、物理、生物等多学科的高度交叉融合,形成自身特色和优势,重点开展“单一院系不能做的事”,凝聚高水平人才和研究领域,成为复旦大学活跃的学科交叉研究高地。

Brief introduction
The Laboratory of Advanced Materials (LAM) was founded in 2005 and located in Jiangwan Campus of Fudan University with an area over 25,000 m2. LAM is one of the key construction programs in the second-stage “985 Projects” from the Ministry of Education of China. It focuses on national medium- and long-term development plans of science and technology, and aims to build up its own characteristics and advantages by highly integrating various research fields including chemistry, physics, materials and biological sciences. By gathering high-level experts from cross-disciplinary fields, LAM has become one of the most active research centers in Fudan University.
